Do you have a vision board? I LOVE mine … it’s in my dressing room and, as you do with vision boards – I love to cover it with the things that make me happy.
At the beginning of each year I take down the “old board” and add pictures and other little bits and pieces for a “new board.” As the year progresses, I add things to it as I go – things like little cards, pictures and creations from my daughter, invitations, posters/postcards of shows I’ve been to, tickets, quotes, images and photos I like … whatever catches my eye really, and whatever I want to see each morning as I get ready.
The picture above shows my vision board from 2014 (seems so long ago now doesn’t it?!) – I wanted to include this pic so you can see what I started with in my “annual update my vision board process.”) I loved this one … it was quite burlesque-inspired with its feather boa along the top, pictures of Dita, a set of pasties and show memorabilia. There were also cards and drawings from my daughter and some photos. Some of it I loved so much I decided to reuse it on my 2015 vision board, because ya’ know what? It’s mine, and I can! Hahaa!
So anyway … last night I poured myself a glass of wine and got started on updating the board. The things that I did take off are gong to be re-used on my new TiLT folder because the current one is full and I need a new one. If you don’t know what a TiLT is, and you want to, you can read about it here!
So here is my blank vision board – all ready to be filled with gorgeous new images …
So … as a base I decided to use the poster of my Miss March picture in the 2015 Classic Museum Pinup Calendar (read about it here) and the poster of Lilly Loca that I won in an Instagram competition (**waves frantically at Nat Hugill!**) I then proceeded to add my favourite shoe pictures from my 2014 shoe calendar (oh how well my mother knows me!) and then liberally cover those shoe pictures with additional shoe pictures – can you sense a theme here?!
Once I’d stuck all the shoe pictures on, I added the images and little things from my 2014 board that I wanted to carry over and voila! Here is the starting point for Mumpty’s 2015 Vision Board. I can’t wait to add the little touches as they come up through the year – if you’d like to send me your performer postcards, I’d love to put them up on my board!
And a close-up …
So there you have it … Mumpty’s newly-created Vision Board! Do you have a vision board? I’d love to see pictures if you do – I’m always so inspired by photos of vision boards – e-mail me yours (you’ll find my contact details here.)
