Question one:
Tell me something interesting about yourself most people won’t already know.
A:  I was training as a boxer. I got sponsorship after winning my first fight.  I then went onto winning my second fight.  More sponsors jumped on board.  It’s kinda the perfect situation for an athlete to be sponsored as everything is so expensive.

I had to make to very hard decision whether to stay and fight again or to focus solely on my solo performing arts.  I decided I needed a change, to shake things up – so I moved to Wellington.

I had to follow my heART.

Question two:
Think about your favourite outfit; your favourite pair of shoes; your favourite suspender belt … whatever!  If that particular item in your pinup kit could talk, what story do you think it would be most likely to tell?
A:  My red velvet gown would most likely say … “Dear Heidi Heart … as I am older than your grandmother, you can be sure I’ve seen a thing or two.

It’s amazing to see what you have in common with my beloved previous owners – they go as far back as the 1920s.

It takes a certain kind of women to wear a red velvet full-length dress. I know you have been through good things and bad things while wearing me. One thing I have learnt through my years is how to keep a secret.  As long as I am hanging in your wardrobe and till the day you die and pass me on, I promise to keep all your secrets.”

Question three:
How is your preparation for the Miss Pinup NZ competition coming along?  Would you like to offer our readers any “teasers” with regard to your particular talent or your outfits for Miss Pinup NZ?
A:  My preparation is going slowly but surely.  Every last dime is going into this comp – hello 2 minute noodles, hello gorgeous gown 🙂

As for my talent, obviously I don’t want to give anything away, but I’ll say this … I love glamour, I love style, I love having the opportunity to showcase my skill range – but at the end of the day, it’s what’s on the inside that counts.

Question four:
If you could pick a theme song to walk onto the Miss Pinup stage to, what would it be?
A:  Anything from Chet Atkins – his music makes me swoon.

Question five:
If  you were to win Miss Pinup NZ 2015, how would you most likely celebrate your win from the options below:

a) I’d guzzle champagne through a gold-plated straw and get lightheaded and dizzy with all my friends.
b) Crank up the music and dance like crazy.
c) Enlist a flashmob and dance through the streets wearing your Miss Pinup NZ crown.
d) Take your crown on a road trip, Instagramming your antics all the way!
e) Go to a karaoke bar and sing your own praises.
f) Other (please specify!)
A:  You would have to call 111, as I think I would die!

Question six:
What is your most favourite item in your pinup kit, and why?
A:  My head scarves – I bought them in L.A last year.  They give you a clean pinup look without all the work.  Perfect to cover messy, in-need-of-a-touch-up, bed hair.

And last, but certainly not least …

Question seven:
What are you most hoping to get out of the Miss Pinup NZ 2015 experience?
A:  To meet like-minded, obsessed people.  Also a chance to really challenge myself.

I’m always on the hunt for the next challenge, to help me grow as a women. I want to be somebody my daughters and friends can look up to.
