It’s baaaack … the Pinup Platoon 2016
Now as most of my readers know, the highly-coveted title of Miss Pinup NZ is up for grabs again in April and the 2015 title-holder, the gorgeous Bettie Rage, will be sashaying up on stage to congratulate the newly-crowned Miss Pinup New Zealand 2016 on the 9th of April.
And what a gorgeous bevy of beauties we have waiting to compete for the 2016 title – one lucky and talented lady will be crowned at The Very Vintage Day Out (Alexandra Park Raceway, Greenland, Auckland.)
Mumpty has been fortunate enough to have secured interviews with all ten fabulous finalists, so once again, I am declaring March the month of The Pinup Platoon … yahoo! (To read last year’s Pinup Platoon interviews, click here.)
Check back every couple of days because the interviews will reveal things you never knew about the finalists and there’ll even be some teasers about what to expect from them on the big day! There will also be other little treats interspersed between the interviews because of course March has 31 days, and there are only ten finalists! There will be an interview with the delightful Bettie Rage of course, and also Miss Pinup NZ Runner Up 2015, the lovely Miss Charlotte Cake, has agreed to help out our contestants with her three top tips and advice as well, so watch out for that!
But of course, Pinup Platoon is not just all about the contestants … there’s something in it for you readers too!
This year I am thrilled to announce that the Pinup Platoon is presented in association with Moxie Mama Wear and Pinned on You. How exciting is that?!
Moxie Mama Wear is run by frock-loving Mama, Esme Sutton. Esme says Moxie Mama Wear was born initially out of sheer frustration of being pregnant and feeling totally un-sexy in blimp-like tent wear! Check out her website here for a stunning range of fabulous frocks to rock, whether you’re pregnant or not! Oh – and it’s not just frocks – there’s all sorts of gorgeous stuff!
Pinned on You is a small but perfectly-formed business, run by the lovely Adele Shoebridge. She offers a fabulous range of cute and quirky Deer Arrow and Erstwilder goodies, which of course, are hot items in the pinup and rockabilly scene. Check out her website here for her full range.
During the month of Pinup Platoon I will be running interviews with both Esme and Adele, so watch out for those!
So what’s in it for you then, you ask? Why you greedy, impatient little thing! Well – we do in fact have not one, not two, but THREE fabulous competition prizes for you … Esme and Adele have been very generous and you can win one of the following BEAUTIFUL prizes.
Main prize – this spectacular Voodoo Vixen emerald cocktail dress from Moxie Mama Wear (**cue heavy breathing!**)
Isn’t it just divine?!
And … ta da … Adele at Pinned on You has given Mumpty this gorgeous Deer Arrow Happily Ever After Snow Globe brooch as prize number two.
And number three … also from Adele at Pinned on You, this gorgeous Pinup Picnic brooch from Erstwilder.
Soooooo thrilled to be able to offer these three fab prizes from two wonderful ladies …
